Channing Tatum is inviting Magic Mike fans to join him in Las Vegas.
In a Facebook video, Tatum took viewers on a brief tour of his home (“filled with hot men that I live with every day”) before announcing the next step of the Magic Mike franchise.
“I was thinking,” Tatum said as he walked, “what’s the next step for Magic Mike? 2D? We’ve done it twice. 3D? 3D hasn’t been cool since Avatar. Virtual reality? I don’t know.”
That’s when he came up with: Magic Mike Reality.
After a brief slow-motion visit to his roommate watching the dishes shirtless, Tatum continued his speech, asking, “What if we created a world where women were given the same options that men have been given for centuries?”
Answering to a voice that said “if you build it, they will come,” inspired by Field of Dreams, Tatum decided to take the advice and move Magic Mike to Las Vegas.
Magic Mike Live will debut at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas in March 2017. Some of the show’s performers are featured in Tatum’s Facebook video.
“God knows we have enough gentlemen’s clubs in this world, so let’s start the first gentle lady’s club. … Or maybe not so gentle, it depends what you’re into.” He ended the video by asking fans to submit ideas of what they want the show to look like so they “can create it for you.” According to the show’s website, tickets will be available soon.
