Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen will star in the comedy Flarsky, written by Dan Sterling.
Jonathan Levine will direct the film, which centers on an unemployed journalist (Rogen), battered by his own misfortune and self-destructive ways, who endeavors to pursue his childhood crush and babysitter who now happens to be one of the most powerful and unattainable women in the world (Theron).
Point Grey principals Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver will produce alongside Denver & Delilah Films’ Theron, Beth Kono and A.J. Dix. Sterling will also executive produce alongside Good Universe’s Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake. Alex McAtee is overseeing for Point Grey and Erin Westerman for Good Universe.

Sterling’s script was on the 2011 Black List. The film is slated for an August start date.
Levine previously helmed 50/50, The Night Before, Warm Bodies, The Wackness and the upcoming comedy Snatched, starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn, which is set to be released by Fox on Mother’s Day. He also directed the pilot for the upcoming Showtime series I’m Dying Up Here. Levine is repped by CAA and Todd Stern at Weintraub Tobin.
Theron was most recently seen in The Huntsman: Winter’s War and Sean Penn’s The Last Face. She will soon be seen in The Fate and the Furious and Atomic Blonde. Theron is repped by WME and Hansen, Jacobson.
Rogen will soon be seen in James Franco’s The Disaster Artist, and his recent projects include voicing and writing the animated hit Sausage Party and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, which he also wrote and produced. He and Grey Point are repped by UTA and Felker, Toczek.
Sterling is repped by UTA and Sloane, Offer. Denver and Delilah Films is repped by WME and Hansen, Jacobson. Dan Freedman of Good Universe negotiated talent deals on behalf of producers.
