Such is the adage of the new trailer for Child 44, Lionsgate’s Soviet-era thriller starring Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Charles Dance and Jason Clarke.
Directed by Daniel Espinosa, the adaptation of the best-selling Tom Rob Smith novel follows Hardy as a member of the Soviet military police who, while investigating a series of child murders, finds himself the target of his own government’s suspicions.
