Chris Evans will star in Red Sea Diving Resort, a true-life Mossad spy drama written and being directed by Gideon Raff, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Alexandra Milchan is producing with Raff, with Bron Media putting up the financing.
The project tells of the Israeli spy agency’s effort to rescue and bring home Ethiopian Jews that were trapped in Sudan in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Evans will play Ari Kidron, an agent who puts together a team that took over a deserted resort in Sudan as they began their multiyear mission.
The actor, who is repped by CAA and 3 Arts Entertainment, will next be see in Gifted, a drama directed by Marc Webb that Fox Searchlight is set to release on April 7. Evans also recently wrapped shooting Avengers: Infinity War.
