Disney and DreamWorks have decided that People Like Us is a more befitting name for Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks’ upcoming summer drama-comedy.
The film, also starring Olivia Wilde and Michelle Pfeiffer, was previously titled Welcome to People.
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci–the powerhouse writing and producing duo behind such hits as Star Trek–penned People Like Us with Jody Lambert.

Based on a real-life story, the movie is about a twenty-something, fast-talking salesman (Pine) who discovers he’s got a 30-year-old sister (Banks) after his father dies. The discovery leaves him reeling and as he grows to know her, he has to rethink everything he thought he knew about his family–and re-examine his own life choices in the process.
People Like Us marks Kurtzman’s directorial debut. Orci produced the film with Bobby Cohen and Clayton Townsend, with Kurtzman executive producing.
Michael Hall D’Addario, Philip Baker Hall and Mark Duplass also star.
