They may share a first name and similar job descriptions, but Captain America‘s Chris Evans and Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Chris Pratt definitely do not see eye to eye when it comes to the gridiron.
The two Marvel stars have been trading jabs via Twitter about this year’s Super Bowl matchup, pitting the defending-champion Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots. Evans was born in Boston, while Pratt grew up near Seattle.

Evans kicked off the rivalry by tweeting Monday, “Well, well, well @prattprattpratt, looks like our teams are going into battle. For the next 2 weeks, you are not my friend, you are my enemy.”
Mr. Star-Lord himself replied by calling out Evans’ signature role. “We both know there’s only one Captain America and his name is Russell Wilson. #SuperBowlBound #LOB #Repeat,” Pratt tweeted, referring to the Seahawks quarterback.
This didn’t sit well with the Avengers star, who dragged Pratt’s beloved team’s name into the fray. “@prattprattpratt them’s fightin words. Stakes? #whatisaseahawkanyway #somethingtombradyhunts,” Evans wrote. Clearly, nothing is sacred with these two. Pratt then responded by telling his foe to fly a Seahawks flag at a Seattle children’s hospital if the Pats lose.
Evans isn’t the only celeb in Pratt’s sights. On Sunday, he made sure that Green Bay Packers fan Ellen DeGeneres knew he was enjoying Seattle’s win over the Pack by posting a pic of himself celebrating at the game with rapper Macklemore and Lego Movie co-director Chris Miller. “Hey @TheEllenShow I’m with your boy @macklemore and we just witnessed a miracle! @chrizmillr,” Pratt wrote.
Things will be settled once and for all when the two teams take the field Feb. 1 at the Super Bowl, airing on NBC. May the best Chris win.
