As co-host of the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night in Las Vegas, Chrissy Teigen not only pulled off multiple show-stopping outfits, but equally gorgeous makeup looks to match — thanks to L’Oreal Paris celebrity makeup artist Sir John.
“The overall vibe was a very ‘70s, Jerry Hall look,” explained John, who has worked with the model for more than a year.

Using Teigen’s Balmain jumpsuit look as a starting point for Mrs. John Legend’s onstage looks throughout the night, John created one versatile eye and face look for the model. “The look was all eyes — a very warm, bronze eye with bronze glitter onto the ball of the eye in Infallible Single, Nude Palette). I loved this look for the fact that it translates for all eye colors and complexions.”

The secret to transitioning between looks? Three different lip shades to match Teigen’s wardrobe and six hair changes.

Teigen kicked off the event on the red carpet wearing L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Last Lipcolour ($12.99) in Neverending Nutmeg, which remained on her lips until roughly the show’s miodpoint. Once Teigen switched into a black-and-white V-neck mini, John stained her pout with a darker hue using Infallible Pro Last Lipcolor in Raisin Revival. And to round out the event and complement Teigen’s last look, John layered shade Always Almond over the previous shade for a “maple syrup, molasses-type ‘90s vibe,” he said. “I love layering these colors, they give almost a prismatic, multidimensional effect.” Now that’s what we call lip service.
