The Descendants, Hugo and The Artist are among the nominees for American Cinema Editors’ 62nd annual Eddie Awards. Additionally, Michael Kahn is a double nominee, recognized for his work on both War Horse and The Adventures of Tintin.
No film has won best picture at the Oscars without also having received at least a best editing Eddie nomination since Ordinary People in 1981.

Meanwhile, nominees for best edited animated feature film are Kahn for The Adventures of Tintin, Eric Dapkewicz for Puss in Boots, and Craig Wood for Rango.
Nominated productions in the commercial television categories include two episodes of Breaking Bad, which have been named for one-hour series alongside Friday Night Lights, The Good Wife and The Walking Dead. For half-hour series, editor Steven Rasch is nominated for both Modern Family and Curb Your Enthusiasm; a second episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm rounds out the nominations in that category.
ACE’s 62nd awards ceremony, to be hosted by Patton Oswalt, will be held February 18 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
