“We’re here to connect,” says Will Smith in the teaser trailer for Collateral Beauty. “Love, time, death. These three things connect every single human being on Earth. We long for love, we wish we had more time and we fear death.”
The Warner Bros. and New Line drama, co-financed with Village Roadshow Pictures, stars Smith as a New York ad man who is sent into a downward spiral after a tragic event. It spurs him to write letters to the three entities. As the trailer shows, he soon comes face-to-face to love (Keira Knightley), time (Jacob Latimore) and death (Helen Mirren).
Kate Winslet, Edward Norton, Michael Pena and Naomie Harris are also featured in the David Frankel-directed film.
Collateral Beauty hits theaters Dec. 16.
