The NBC series, which was recently renewed for a fourth 13-episode season, has tapped TV scribes David Guarascio and Moses Port as co-showrunners and executive producers, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter.

Harmon’s status had been in flux following the low-rated comedy’s renewal and move from Thursdays to Fridays, with NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt openly unsure of his role in the future of the series when speaking with reporters ahead of the network’s upfront presentation.
“I except Dan’s voice to be a part of this show somehow,” said Greenblatt. “I’m just not sure if that means him running it day-to-day or consulting on it.”
Guarascio and Port come to Community most recently serving as consulting producers on other Sony Pictures TV series Happy Endings. They previously served as executive producers on Just Shoot Me and the short-lived Aliens in America, focusing primarily on development for the better part of the last decade. They’re both repped by UTA.

The frequently outspoken Harmon drew a great deal of media attention earlier in the year when he leaked an unflattering voicemail from series star Chevy Chase.
The regime change at Community is the latest of several executive moves. EPs Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan both recently left their roles on the shows after inking an overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV.
