Two new images from one of Glee star Cory Monteith‘s final films have been released.
In the film All the Wrong Reasons, Monteith played James Ascher, a store manager whose wife (Karine Vanasse) is struggling with PTSD. The new photos show a bespectacled Monteith wearing his work uniform.
Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on Fox’s musical comedy, was found dead in his hotel room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver on July 13. Hotel staff discovered his body after he missed his noon checkout time. He was 31. An initial autopsy report found he died of “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”
All the Wrong Reasons is an ensemble film about four everyday people — Monteith’s store manager, a security guard, a firefighter and a clerk — who struggle after a trauma. Directed by Gia Milani, the Myriad Pictures film will play in festivals in the fall.
All the Wrong Reasons was produced by Phyllis Laing, Tony Whalen and Milani. Myriad president Kirk D’Amico and Pacific Northwest Pictures’ Emily Alden executive produced. Shore Road Pictures and Buffalo Gal Pictures produced the film.
After Monteith’s death, Myriad’s D’Amico released a statement: “We were extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Cory. He was incredibly talented and giving to everyone he worked with. It is truly tragic to see his life and career cut so short.”
Monteith’s final film appearance will be in McCanick, a gritty drama in which he played a criminal.
