Sony-owned streaming service Crackle has appointed Adam Lewinson to the role of senior vp programming, marketing and operations.
Lewinson comes from FX Networks, where he was most recently senior vp programming and production. While there, he spearheaded the launch of FXM and oversaw the channel’s programming portfolio. His move to Crackle represents a return to Sony Pictures, where he formerly held positions at Columbia Pictures and Columbia TriStar Home Video.
As head of programming for Crackle, Lewinson will oversee acquisition and scheduling of content. He also will work with Crackle’s development team on the creation of original series like The Art of More, the Dennis Quaid starrer set to premiere Nov. 19. As head of marketing, Lewinson will lead brand management, strategic partnerships, customer acquisition and the launch of Crackle’s originals. He also will work with Crackle’s ad sales, product and technology teams. Lewinson will report to Crackle GM Eric Berger.
“As we solidify ourselves as a leading over-the-top television network, Adam will play an integral role in accelerating the Crackle brand,” said Berger. “Adam’s profound insight into the ever-evolving television landscape is extraordinary, and we look forward to having him on board to help grow our business, which is at the forefront of how TV networks address consumer behavior.”
