Crackle’s The Throwaways is finally getting its premiere.
The cyberspy thriller film was supposed to debut on the streaming network in December but was delayed following the cyberattack on Sony Pictures Entertainment, the parent company of Crackle. Now, the film is set to premiere Jan. 30 on Crackle, the streamer announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour.
The film, executive produced by Jeremy Renner, stars Sam Huntington (Being Human) as Drew Reynolds, a notorious hacker captured by the CIA and told to work for them or spend the rest of his life in prison. James Caan stars as Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Holden and Kevin Dillon (Entourage) stars as gung-ho combat specialist Dan Fisher. Katie McGrath (Merlin), Christian Hillborg (The Bridge) and Jack Kesy (The Strain) also star.
The Throwaways joins Crackle’s growing slate of original films, including Dead Rising: Watchtower and Joe Dirt 2: The Beautiful Loser.
