The CW picked up six new series, three of them dramas and the remaining unscripted programs.
The former include Kevin Williamson’s witch drama The Secret Circle, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage‘s doctor series Hart of Dixie and the Sarah Michelle Gellar drama Ringer, which was originally developed at CBS. As for the latter, the CW will roll out the Mario Lopez-hosted H8R, The Frame and Re-Modeled.
Monday will serve as Schwartz’s night, with his long-running Gossip Girl leading into Rachel Bilson starrer Hart of Dixie. 90210 moves to Tuesday, where it will launch Ringer. Wednesday is once again saved for reality, with H8R into Tyra Banks’ first ever all-star edition of America’s Next Top Model; both will be forced to compete against Fox’s potential reality behemoth The X Factor. Thursdays belong to Williamson, whose hit The Vampire Diaries will segue into The Secret Circle, starring Life Unexpected’s Britt Robertson. Finally, Friday is saved for Nikita and Supernatural.
The two reality shows plus the final season of perennial bubble show One Tree Hill will join the schedule mid-season, while first-year series Hellcats gets the boot.
