If you’re one of the 10 million-plus fans who follow David Beckham on Instagram, then you know that there’s nothing the former soccer star loves more than his family — especially his 4-year-old daughter, Harper, whom he’s posted about on multiple occasions (see here, here and here).
So when a Daily Mail article was published with the lengthy headline, “Why does Harper, four, still use a dummy? Experts warn David and Victoria Beckham’s little girl may end with ‘speech or dental issues’ if she continues to use one,” the father of four wasn’t afraid to fire back at the criticism.

“Why do people feel they have the right to criticize a parent about their own children without having any facts??” he wrote alongside a screenshot of that story on Instagram. “Everybody who has children knows that when they aren’t feeling well or have a fever you do what comforts them best and most of the time it’s a pacifier so those who criticize think twice about what you say about other people’s children because actually you have no right to criticize me as a parent …”
Despite what the news site might have written, we’re assuming that David and wife Victoria Beckham probably don’t need much parenting advice, as the couple already has raised three other kids — Brooklyn, 16; Romeo, 12; and Cruz, 10 — and they all seem to be doing just fine so far.
