Celebrity wedding planner David Tutera, host of WE tv’s David Tutera’s CELEBrations, is expanding his relationship with Craig Piligian.
Tutera has inked a first-look deal with Piligian’s Pilgrim Studios, the production company behind CELEBrations, to develop and produce scripted and unscripted projects in the lifestyle space, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
This further formalizes Tutera’s partnership with Pilgrim, which also produces his two other WE tv series: My Fair Wedding and David Tutera: Unveiled. CELEBrations, WE tv’s highest-rated series, premiered in August.
“Pilgrim has been in business with David Tutera for more than seven years, and our relationship has only strengthened with time,” said Piligian. “We’re thrilled to be working together to build new franchises across both scripted and unscripted genres.”
Added Tutera: “The best part of my job is working so closely with clients during the most important days of their lives and sharing that experience via the shows we create. Being privy to such happiness, joy, nerves and tears is an honor. I’m excited to develop new realms of programming with Pilgrim that explore and celebrate moments that people remember forever.”
Tutera is the author of seven books and creator of 14 brands in the fashion, DIY and home industries.
Pilgrim Studios is behind such programming as Syfy’s Ghost Hunters, Fox Sports 1’s The Ultimate Fighter, OWN’s Raising Whitley and Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s, CNN’s Somebody’s Gotta Do It With Mike Rowe and Lindsay Lohan‘s docuseries.
