The crew of the Time Bandit paid tribute to fellow crew member and Deadliest Catch co-star Justin Tennison on their website.
Tennison was found dead in an Alaskan hotel room Tuesday, according to TMZ.
“Justin was tough as a bull and was an all-around good hand,” the Time Bandit crew wrote. “The captains and crew appreciated his hard work and many contributions this past year. We will miss him terribly and wish his family all the best during this most difficult time.”
The Time Bandit crew also wrote that Tennison “died peacefully in his sleep the night of February 21, 2011.”
TMZ reported that police arrived to the Best Western Bidarka Inn in Homer, Alaska, after receiving a call at 12:52 p.m. Tennison, 34, was lying in bed unresponsive.
A small amount of marijuana and several bottles of alcohol were discovered in the room, police told TMZ, but it is not yet known if that contributed to his death. Police believe Tennison hosted a party there the night before.
