An incendiary radio show causes quite a stir in the first full trailer for racially charged satire Dear White People.
The film centers on four black students at an elite university where riots have broken out in response to the campus’ African American-themed party. The trailer proves that not everyone is pleased when the host of a college radio show called Dear White People then decides to run for student-body president and “bring black back.”
Tessa Thompson (Copper, Veronica Mars), Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris) and Dennis Haysbert star. The film was written and directed by Justin Simien, marking his directorial debut.
