Jake Gyllenhaal stars as a heartbroken husband who unravels after losing his wife in a tragic car accident in the first trailer for Fox Searchlight Pictures’ Demolition.
Helmed by Wild and Dallas Buyers Club director Jean-Marc Vallee, the drama follows a successful investment banker on his journey to rebuild a new life for himself by demolishing his old home, breaking down his marriage and tearing down the walls of his past.
“If you want to fix something, you have to take everything apart and figure out what’s important,” Gyllenhaal’s character can be heard saying in the teaser.
Demolition, co-starring Naomi Watts and Chris Cooper, will open the Toronto Film Festival when it kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 10, and will see a limited release on April 8, 2016.
