Designated Survivor creator David Guggenheim has signed with CAA.
The scribe burst onto the scene when he wrote the spec script for Safe House, which became a 2012 hit thriller starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds.
The script opened doors for the writer, who booked high-profile assignments (he has worked on Bad Boys 3 and Uncharted for Sony Pictures in recent times) and sold additional specs.
ABC’s Designated Survivor, which Guggenheim executive produces, stars Kiefer Sutherland and is currently in its first season.
He had been at Paradigm, where he was repped by David Boxerbaum.
Guggenheim continues to be repped by manager Adam Kolbrenner at Madhouse Entertainment, and his attorney is Jamie Afifi at Ziffren Brittenham.
