Does Public School win the award for loudest after-party of New York Fashion Week thus far? Maybe. But Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow had more to celebrate than your average designers: A first time taking the runway on Sunday as well as a new women’s wear collection. “I can’t feel anything in my legs, so that gives you a sense,” said Chow about the excitement at the party in the upstairs of Up & Down, which was formerly the restaurant of the Darby. “It’s been a big, big week for us, those two big firsts.”
The packed party — which was deejayed by Jus Ske (who recently finished as Jay-Z‘s concert DJ) — was also attended by fashion-forward Knick Tyson Chandler and his wife Kimberly, AEG top talent executive Adam Lublin and front-row fixture, DJ Mia Moretti.

“We have some mutual friends,” Moretti said of her relationship with the designers. It’s one of few shows she’ll be seeing this season before leaving for Milan Fashion Week, where she’ll be deejaying the Fendi party there. “But that’s all I can say,” she said of her commitments in Italy, although she is booked for others.
And while dancing has become a mainstay at most fashion week parties, there was only one place guests found room to shake and move in Up & Down: On top of the banquettes, behind a second round of velvet ropes — as if the guest-list wasn’t tight enough to start.

Diane von Furstenberg, celebrating the 40th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress this year, might be trying to kill the stereotype that no one eats in the fashion world. At her post-show dinner at her studio in the Meatpacking District on Sunday, the designer had a buffet table brimming with plate after plate of food. “The bar mitzvah that is DVF’s post-show dinner,” blogger Leandra Medine, better known as the Man Repeller, Instagrammed from her personal account.
Fellow style blogger (Tales of Endearment) and casting agent Natalie Joos, who has collaborated with designer DVF in the past, also felt the need to Instagram the endless table of desserts. Now if only someone could have tallied how many of the guests actually ate them. Also there: Alexander Von Furstenberg, Katherine Schwarzenegger, Lucky editor-in-chief Eva Chen, The Chriselle Factor‘s Chriselle Lim, Into the Gloss‘ Emily Weiss and 429 Magazine editor-in-chief Kevin Sessums.
