DKNY — the younger diffusion line founded by designer Donna Karan in 1988 — may be looking for the “next big thing” to take the helm as the brand’s new creative director.

According to WWD, Prabal Gurung, A.L.C.’s Andrea Lieberman and Public School’s Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow are among the possible designers being mentioned for the top post, although none of them confirmed that they were being considered. DKNY executive vp design Jane Chung currently designs the line under Karan’s direction.
Karan, who established her first ready-to-wear line, Donna Karan New York, in 1984, launched DKNY to appeal to a younger audience. Most recently, the brand has worked with Cara Delevingne on a capsule collection, held a fragrance-launch event with Rita Ora and welcomed a group of P.Y.T.s including Kesha, Zendaya, Bella Hadid and Sofia Richie to its fall 2015 presentation.
