BAFTA’s A Life in Pictures is a long-running series of interviews with some of the film world’s leading players and aims to allow them to share insights into the experiences that helped them hone and develop their crafts.
Previous participants include Cate Blanchett, Quentin Tarantino and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Hoffman’s directorial debut film, Quartet, based on Ronald Harwood’s stage play of the same name, stars Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins, Sheridan Smith and Michael Gambon.
Produced by British-based Stewart Mackinnon, who with his late partner Mark Shivas originally developed the film with BBC Films, and Finola Dwyer, the movie will unspool during the upcoming BFI London Film Festival having shown at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month.
