Kim Kardashian‘s wedding to New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries will definitely be televised, but E! — which airs the family’s reality show franchise — is still determining how to do it.
It could be be broadcast as a standalone special, like her sister Khloe’s nuptials to Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom, or spun-off into a new series that chronicles her wedding planning, according to the New York Post.
The network is currently focusing on how to weave it into Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which premieres its sixth season June 12. A rep for E! told The Hollywood Reporter no comment on official plans. PHOTOS: See Kardashian Inc. in pictures
Said Khloe to E! Online Thursday of her sister’s “I Do’s, “It’s going to be royal wedding No. 2. I could only imagine Kim having the hugest wedding.”
Cameras rolling as she walks down the aisle “comes with the territory,” says Kourtney Kardashian, Kim’s older sister. “I mean, I would assume it would be [taped]. We sell our souls to E!”
Kim announced her engagement on the cover of People magazine.
“I didn’t expect this at all,” she said of the surprise proposal by her boyfriend of about six months. “I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”
THR has detailed how Kris Jenner, mother to the Kardashian girls, has created a $65 million empire out of her family. Indeed, a source told AOL Popeater that they would “make millions” off the televised ceremony.
