We always knew it was true, and now we have proof: Real men get facials. In our book, Eddie Redmayne didn’t just win the SAG actor statue for his role in The Theory of Everything, the dapper Brit stole our hearts with his whole charming look: radiant complexion, lived-in hair and Prada tux.
At least one of those things is within reach for normal folks: the pre-red carpet 30-minute facial celebrity groomer Johnnie Sapong gave the actor to achieve his “healthy, glowing skin.”

First, Sapong cleansed Redmayne’s skin with RéVive Exfoliating Cleanser Soft Polishing Cream, then applied RéVive Balancing Toner Soothing Skin Refresher to get his complexion in “tip-top shape.”
Next came a 10-minute express facial in which Sapong used RéVive Moisturizing Renewal Cream Retexturing Hydrator to “create circular motions all over his face, especially in drier sensitive areas, to activate the muscles and tone.” Following that, he dabbed on RéVive Moisturizing Renewal Eye Cream Ultra Retexturizing Hydrator around his eyes.
Following all that activity, Redmayne’s skin had a 10-minute rest before the groomer (who has also worked with Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp) applied Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Foundation Primer to take down any shine. Lastly, he added RéVive Lip Perioral Renewal Serum Targeted Vertical Line Repair.
Sapong advises a skincare regimen consisting of cleansing, toning and moisturizing for a week before an event. And just maybe that will get you Redmayne’s glow.
