A riot broke out at the world premiere of the Electric Daisy Carnival Experience in Hollywood on Wednesday night, and reaction on the Web was almost instantaneous.
According to Los Angeles’ KTLA-TV, DJ Kaskade called for a “block party” outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. As a result, thousands of people showed up in Hollywood; police were forced to shut down part of Hollywood Boulevard and then donned riot gear once the crowd started fighting, throwing bottles and even setting fire to a police car. Police also fired riot beanbags into the crowd.
After the riot broke out, the incident became a trending topic on Google, and many people took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Among them was DJ Kaskade, who is said to have started the incident with a tweet earlier in the day about a “block party” he was setting up outside the theater.
