Electus has found its first vice president of unscripted television in Jessica Sebastian, who most recently served as senior director of development at the late Style Network.
Sebastian, who started Nov. 25, reports to the multimedia studio’s unscripted TV EVP Corie Henson. (Henson joined Electus from ABC Entertainment in September.)
“Jessica has a unique and varied skill set,” said Henson. “She has been a producer, a developer and a buyer, plus she has amazing relationships with some of the most influential brands in the industry. Jessica will be integral as Electus ramps up internal development and continues to build our unscripted business.”
Her new role finds Sebastian developing, directing and producing projects from pitch to series. Electus’ roster of unscripted TV includes TBS’ King of Nerds, NBC summer series Get Out Alive With Bear Grylls and Mob Wives.
“Electus’ track record of programming has put it in its own category,” said Sebastian. “This position will challenge me to use all of the skills and experience I’ve built over nearly 15 years of working in TV.”
While at Style, Sebastian worked on Rihanna‘s Styled to Rock (now airing on Bravo). She previously served as development VP at Original media, working as showrunner on Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project.
