LONDON — Independent TV production powerhouse Endemol Group said Tuesday that it has named Martha Brass COO and Edwin van Es CFO.
Endemol CEO Just Spee and president Tim Hincks have appointed them to a new management committee that will “focus on overseeing and supporting the business on a day-to-day basis,” the company added. Boudewijn Beusmans, global head of legal and corporate secretary, will also join the committee. All its members report to Spee.
Brass was formerly managing director of international operations and will continue to oversee emerging markets for the company, while also taking on direct operational responsibility for additional territories, including Scandinavia and Central and Eastern Europe. She takes over as COO after last week’s resignation of Virginie Calmels.
The new CFO previously serve as group finance director for Endemol.
“The new management committee brings together a team of people who are highly experienced and extremely effective in their respective fields,” said Spee. “This new structure will help us to focus on the key strategic drivers of the business as we look to continue the growth and diversification Endemol achieved throughout 2012.”
Endemol also said Tuesday that it created and launched more than 50 new formats around the world in 2012, while expanding its distribution catalog to 29,000 hours of content across genres.
While best known for its reality TV franchises such as Big Brother, Endemol also has a growing drama and comedy slate, including such shows as Ripper Street (BBC One and BBC America) and Hell on Wheels (AMC).
