Looks like Charlie Sheen won’t be appearing on the eighth and final season of Entourage.
Creator Doug Ellin had said earlier this month that he wanted the former Two and a Half Men star to appear on the HBO comedy when it debuted July 24.
“I never heard back,” Ellin said to Entertainment Weekly. “Looks like it will not be happening.”
He added: “I could have come up with some good stuff. I didn’t really plan anything, but I would have.”
In early May, Ellin made first mention of the fact that he was actively pursuing the troubled star.
“I called his manager and was told maybe I’d get him,” Ellin said at the time. “But I’m still waiting for Charlie to call me back. I’d come up with something good.”
The final season of Entourage will include guest star Andrew Dice Clay.
