Floyd Mayweather Jr. has won the super-fight against Conor McGregor that brought the respective boxing and mixed martial arts champs together in the same ring.
Mayweather, unbeaten as a professional boxer, squared off against Irish MMA superstar McGregor for the first crossover match between the two combat sports on Saturday night. After a stoppage in the 10th round, Mayweather was announced the victor to improve his overall professional record to 50-0.
McGregor, a heavy underdog in the fight, held his own in the early rounds, landing many punches. However, as the fight rolled on, the MMA star tired and Mayweather landed a flurry of punches in the ninth round. When the bell rang for the 10th, Mayweather was quick on the offensive and the referee was forced to stop the fight as McGregor was ruled unable to continue.
