Fox News Channel has decided against renewing Dick Morris’ contract, a spokesperson confirmed Tuesday.
Morris, the Democrat-turned-Republican strategist, has seen his appearances dwindle since the re-election of President Obama.
On his website on Tuesday, Morris did not address his departure from Fox News, though he alerted readers he was scheduled to appear Wednesday on Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN.
“You read it right … CNN, yes CNN,” Morris wrote.
A CNN spokesperson didn’t respond to an email asking whether Morris had joined the cable network as a regular contributor.

Morris and Republican strategist Karl Rove became whipping boys for liberals who wish to bash Fox News after both of them predicted Obama would lose in November. Fox News, though, renewed Rove’s contract last month.
After Obama beat Republican challenger Mitt Romney, Morris penned a mea culpa called “Why I was wrong.”
“The key reason for my bum prediction is that I mistakenly believed that the 2008 surge in black, Latino, and young voter turnout would recede in 2012 to normal levels,” Morris wrote.
Morris rose to prominence as a consultant to President Bill Clinton, but he took a right turn several years ago and has become one of Hillary Clinton‘s chief critics.
Before his contract expired, he had been a staple on some of the top-rated shows on Fox News, particularly Hannity and The O’Reilly Factor.
