Fox has renewed Seth MacFarlane’s American Dad for a seventh season, the network announced today.
The ‘toon, from 20th Century Fox Television, follows the lives of ultra-conservative, staunch GOP supporter and CIA agent Stan Smith (MacFarlane) and his eccentric family.
The renewal will keep the Emmy nominated series on the network through the 2012-13 season.
With a cult following of young viewers, the show has been a powerhouse for the network and studio. The studio has racked up multiple syndication deals for American Dad. Reruns began airing last year on TBS and Turner’s Adult Swim as well as FX and in the UK on BBC Three.
