Fox Greenlights Comedy from ‘Rescue Me,’ ‘Bent’ and ‘Wilfred’ Scribes

Fox ordered two more Sony-produced comedies to pilot late Friday.

Let it Go, from Rescue Me’s Peter Tolan, is billed as an ensemble comedy about a married couple, best friend and sister who try to navigate, negotiate and sometimes manipulate society’s unspoken rules. The single camera project, from Tolan’s Fedora in association with Sony Pictures TV, will be written and executive produced by Traffic Light’s DJ Nash. Tolan and Michael Wimer will join him as EP.

Must Hire, from Jamie Tarses‘ Fanfare and Sony, centers on and uptight, young executive hires his dad for an entry level position and is shocked to discover that his new hire is a disruptive office clown. Wilfred duo Eli Jorne and Reed Agnew will serve as writers and executive producers, with Tarses on board as an EP.

The projects join other comedy set up at Fox, including Ben Fox is my Manny, Bill Lawrence’s Like Father and Mike Royce’s Little Brother.
