The new spinoff of the legal procedural stars Scott Bakula and has been a hit in the U.S., where it airs on CBS and has been one of the most successful new series launches on the network. It’s produced and distributed by CBS.
M6 will begin airing episodes of the show’s first season before April.
The network has also picked up Scorpion, another CBS hit drama, starring Katherine McPhee and Eddie Kay Thomas. The security thriller has averaged 15.2 million viewers in its first season. M6 will also launch that show before April.
The acquisition of the big U.S. shows comes after the appointment of new programming director Frederic de Vincelles, following the departure of Bibiane Godfroid after sagging ratings.
New limited historical fiction series Peplum, produced by Alain Kappauf of Kabo Productions, will also debut on M6 on Feb. 11. M6 also has first-look rights on Shonda Rhimes‘ hit How to Get Away With Murder, but it has not yet announced an air date or official acquisition.
