Numerous pieces of the late Frank Frazetta’s fantasy artwork will be auctioned Friday.
Frazetta expert Doc Dave Winiewicz’s personal collection will go on the block through Calabasas-based Profiles in History.
More than 80 pieces drawn by Frazetta will up for bid, according to the auction house.
The lot includes an assortment of work, reference materials, signed books and other items used by Frazetta.

Amassed for more than 40 years, the Winiewicz’s collection includes two Tarzan paintings and a Lord of the Rings Illustration, “The Witch-king of Egmar,” according to the auction house.
Also featured are illustrations of “The Lion Queen,” “Tarzan,” “Conan the Barbarian” and “Flash Gordon.”
Regarded as one of the best artists of the genre, Frazetta died in 2010 at age 82.
