Frank Langella will be back on Broadway in the new play The Father.
Manhattan Theatre Club announced on Tuesday that the three-time Tony winner will star in the new production by Florian Zeller, and translated by Christopher Hampton.
He reunites with director Doug Hughes, who previously collaborated on A Man for All Seasons in 2008.
The limited engagement begins previews on March 22 before its April 12 opening at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. The play will make its U.S. premiere after a limited run on the West End.
The dark comedy goes inside the mind of Andre, a retired dancer living with his adult daughter Anne and her husband. Or is he a retired engineer receiving a visit from Anne, who has moved away with her boyfriend? Why do strangers keep turning up in his room? And where has he left his watch?
