2017’s Free Comic Book Day Gold Sponsor Comics Revealed (Exclusive)

2016 may be drawing to a close, but it’s not too early to start looking ahead to 2017 — and, in particular, May 6, 2017… better known as the next Free Comic Book Day.

2017’s FCBD will be the 16th for the annual comic book retailer event, which sees a number of special issues from the likes of Marvel, DC, Image and more being released for free — and today, Heat Vision can exclusively reveal what the titles from the “Gold Sponsor” publishers will be.

(Well, most of them, anyway; both Marvel and DC’s offerings are remaining under wraps for a while longer, as you’ll see below.)

“There’s so much to love in all the engaging titles being offered for the 16th annual Free Comic Book Day,” Joe Field, head of the Retailer Selection Committee and owner of Flying Colors Comics in Concord, Calif., said in a statement. “The fantastic lineup of Gold-level publishers, the continuing great work of thousands of independent comic book retailers, and the enthusiasm of new and returning fans all over the world will make May 6, 2017 a monumental day in comics history!”
