London Fashion Week is in full swing. And while there has been no shortage of star power seen in the front rows thus far (on Saturday alone, Paul McCartney and his fam chatted up Rita Ora and Chrissie Hynde at Hunter Original, before Ora showed up again at House of Holland where she was joined by DJ Chelsea Leyland, Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe), Marchesa’s spring 2015 show brought out some pretty decent names.
Joining Cindrella actress Lily James, singer Paloma Faith, Ora (who showed up yet again), Katy Perry stylist Johnny Wujek, Harvey Weinstein (obviously, as the brand’s bankroller and husband of designer Georgina Chapman) and actor Daniel Bruhl was Hunger Games star Jena Malone, who was enjoying her first show of her first trip ever to London Fashion Week.
So far, so good?
“Oh I love it,” Malone told Pret-a-Reporter from the comfort of her front row seat inside London’s Banqueting House, a former royal palace dating back to 1622. “Everyone here is so much more polite!”
Fresh from premiering Time Out of Mind at TIFF last week (where she wore a killer Emilio Pucci number) , Malone has British press obligations beginning on Monday. So she’s trying to take it easy until duty calls once again.
“I came here early to have a bit of downtime,” she said. So just what does a cool Indie actress do for “me” time in London?
“I’m going to Kew Gardens. It’s [London’s] botanical gardens, and it’s beautiful. I love it.”
With Kew Gardens housing the world’s largest collection of plants, we’ll be listening to Malone’s tip next time we find ourselves with a British moment to spare, too.
