PARIS – Jennifer Lopez kicked off haute couture week in style here by holding court on the steps of the grand Chambre de Commerce building Sunday night, posing for several minutes with her “best friend,” designer Donatella Versace, for an extended photo session before the Atelier Versace show.
Lopez told the crowd that she is taking a week of vacation in the French capital for the couture shows. She’s traveling with her stylist team, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn.

Lopez, who has a long relationship with the house since her infamous navel-grazing 2000 Grammys dress, has recently been sporting the designer onstage, including a custom ensemble at her recent New York concert.
Inside, models including Stella Tennant and Lindsey Wixon rocked down the runway in long slashed-front gowns to Lopez’s latest hit, “So Good,” while Lopez sang along in the front row.
The red carpet-ready looks were asymmetrical, corseted and graphic, including gowns with vinyl bodices. Lopez wore a custom Versace outfit that was not shown on the runway.

Chanel muse Leigh Lezark, usually clad in Karl Lagerfeld‘s designs, wore a classic body-con Versace dress. “I thought it was cute,” she told THR of changing up her usual style. “Nobody does the glamour of fashion better than Versace.”
Lezark, who landed just before the show, is traveling solo for Chanel later this week. “I don’t use a stylist because nobody knows how to dress me better than myself,” she said.
