Spring is just around the corner, but don’t tell the Frozen soundtrack. The wintry Disney album returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 99,000 copies in the week ending March 16 (down less than 1 percent), according to Nielsen SoundScan.
A week ago, Frozen sold 100,000 at No. 3.
With its latest weekly sales sum, Frozen becomes the first album to sell a million units in 2014 (1.1 million this year). Its total sales stand at 1.4 million, as the set was released last November, and it sold 338,000 in 2013.
This is the sixth nonconsecutive week atop the chart for Frozen. It first topped the list dated Jan. 18, reflecting the sales week that ended Jan. 5.
Since SoundScan began powering the Billboard 200 with its point-of-sale data in May 1991, Frozen is one of just four soundtracks with six or more weeks at No. 1.

The last soundtrack to spend more time at No. 1 was Titanic, which sailed at No. 1 for 16 straight weeks in 1998. The all-time champ for weeks at No. 1 (for both soundtracks and all albums in general) is West Side Story, with a 54-week reign in 1962 and 1963.
Coming in at No. 2 on the latest Billboard 200 is Luke Bryan‘s Spring Break 6 … Like We Ain’t Ever EP with 74,000 sold. The digital-exclusive set is the latest in the country star’s spring break-themed EPs, which launched in 2009 with Spring Break With All My Friends. Last year, he topped the chart with Spring Break … Here toParty, which was a compilation of previously released tracks from the series.
Last week’s No. 1, Rick Ross‘ Mastermind, slips to No. 3 with 49,000 (down 73 percent).
Aloe Blacc notches his best week ever as his third album, Lift Your Spirit, bows at No. 4 with a little more than 45,000. His last full-length set, Good Things, was released in 2010 and missed the Billboard 200. The vocalist behind Avicii‘s hit song “Wake Me Up” most recently charted with his own Wake Me Up EP, which reached No. 32 in January.
Pharrell Williams‘ G I R L dips 2-5 with 45,000 (down 60 percent).

Rock band 311 collects its ninth top 10 album with the arrival of Stereolithic at No. 6. Since 1997, all nine of the group’s full-length non-live albums have debuted in the top 10.
The Young Money crew nets its second top 10 album, as Rise of an Empire bows at No. 7 with 31,000. That’s a rather steep sales drop from the bow of the collective’s last set, 2009’s We Are Young Money. It entered with 142,000 sold in the busy shopping Christmas shopping week ending Dec. 27, 2013. Even though it had a larger sales figure, it started lower (No. 9) than the new album.
Lorde‘s Pure Heroine celebrates its six-month anniversary on the list, falling 7-8 with a little more than 27,000 (down 13 percent) in its 24th chart week.
Sara Evans nabs her fourth top 10 album as Slow Me Down starts at No. 9 with 27,000. It’s also her fourth straight top 10 set, stretching back to 2005’s No. 3 hit Real Fine Place.
Eric Church‘s former No. 1 album, The Outsiders, rounds out the top 10, as it descends 9-10 with 23,000 (down 23 percent).
Over on the Digital Songs chart, Pharrell’s “Happy” is steady at No. 1, selling another 364,000 downloads (down 26 percent). The next two titles are both non-movers, as John Legend‘s “All of Me” (215,000; up 3 percent) and Jason Derulo‘s “Talk Dirty,” featuring 2 Chainz (198,000; up 1 percent) are Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.
“Talk Dirty” also crosses the 2 million sales mark this week (2.2 million), becoming Derulo’s fourth song to do so. His biggest-selling song is “Whatcha Say,” with 4 million sold.
Katy Perry‘s “Dark Horse,” featuring Juicy J, rides 5-4 with 165,000 (down 9 percent). The song jumps past the 4 million sales threshold as well (4.1 million), marking Perry’s seventh song to sell at least 4 million.
Idina Menzel‘s “Let It Go” falls 4-5 with 122,000 (down 34 percent). The Chainsmokers’ viral hit “#SELFIE” climbs 10-6 with 111,000 (up 26 percent).
Bastille’s “Pompeii” descends 6-7 with 106,000 (down 9 percent), Blacc’s “The Man” is stationary at No. 8 with 97,000 (down 10 percent), and DJ Snake & Lil Jon‘s “Turn Down for What” jumps 15-9 with 83,000 (up 10 percent). It’s the first top 10 for DJ Snake and the first for Lil Jon since his “Snap Yo Fingers” hit No. 9 in 2006.
American Authors’ “Best Day of My Life” also nets its first week in the top 10, stepping 11-10 with 82,000 (down 3 percent).
Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending March 16) totaled 4.6 million units, down 8% compared with the sum last week (5 million) and down 18% compared with the comparable sales week of 2013 (5.6 million). Year-to-date album sales stand at 52.3 million, down 15% compared with the same total at this point last year (61.4 million).
Digital track sales this past week totaled 21.8 million downloads, down 5 percent compared with last week (23 million) and down 11 percent stacked next to the comparable week of 2013 (24.6 million). Year-to-date track sales are at 268.9 million, down 11 percent compared with the same total at this point last year (303.4 million).
Next week’s Billboard 200 competes with the same week in 2013 when: Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience” debuted at No. 1 with 968,000. Kacey Musgraves’ “Same Trailer Different Park” arrived in a distant second place with 43,000.
