Youth media company Fullscreen and Indian multi-channel network Qyuki announced an exclusive alliance to expand opportunities for Indian content creators.
Qyuki was founded by director Shekhar Kapur (Elizabeth), Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire) and Samir Bangara. The Mumbai-headquartered venture works with creators to build their fan following by producing and distributing videos across YouTube and other networks.
L.A.-based Fullscreen was founded by CEO George Strompolos, a co-creator of the original YouTube Partner Program. Fullscreen develops online creators and programs multi-platform entertainment experiences. The platform includes over 55,000 creators with 450 million subscribers generating over 4 billion video views across Fullscreen’s global network each month.
According to a statement, the Qyuki-Fullscreen alliance hopes to offer Indian creators greater opportunities to develop, monetize and distribute their content and leverage technology, production and optimization services from both networks.

“The Internet is about collaboration, and as we build out our vision to create the largest online media company for Indian youth, we believe we have found a great partner in Fullscreen, which will enable us to not only grow the Indian market rapidly but also present Indian talent at a global scale,” said Bangara.
“Qyuki has built a strong network and content studio featuring some of India’s most creative and acclaimed talent in music and storytelling,” said Fullscreen president Ezra Cooperstein. “This partnership will strengthen our global creator network and further empower the next generation of Indian creators with Fullscreen’s global best practices in content creation and monetization.”
Marquee creators in the Qyuki network include Rahman and well-known composers Ranjit Barot and the Salim–Sulaiman duo (who have various hit Bollywood soundtracks to their credit) along with popular YouTube stars Shraddha Sharma, Gaurav Dagaonkar and Siddharth Slathia, among others. India’s largest Bollywood and fashion blogger, Miss Malini, recently joined the Qyuki network.
In addition to its exclusive alliance with Universal Music India, Qyuki offers infrastructure across multiple studios in Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore. A special studio in the heart of Mumbai’s Dharavi nurtures talent in Asia’s largest underprivileged community.
