An extended Furious 7 trailer has been released, focusing on the characters bonding with Brian (Paul Walker).
The nearly three-minute spot includes plenty of thrilling driving scenes and more than a few explosions, but it also takes a sentimental tone at times. The word “family” is used twice in the trailer.
“I don’t have friends — I got family,” Dom (Vin Diesel) says, with Walker’s character appearing on the screen as the latter part of the quote is heard in voiceover.
In another scene, Dom somberly looks at a photo of himself and Brian with their significant others. Walker died during the film’s production, and his brothers helped finish some of his scenes.

The film, which was promoted with a shorter trailer during Sunday’s Super Bowl, centers on an assassin trying to kill Dom to avenge his brother’s death. Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Kurt Russell also star in director James Wan‘s film.
Universal releases Furious 7 on April 3. Watch the trailer below.
