Christian Bale is out to save his brother in the new trailer for Out of the Furnace.
The film from Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper centers on a blue-collar man named Russell (Bale), whose brother Rodney (Casey Affleck) runs afoul of a violent crime syndicate the Northeast.
Russell decides to go after his brother, who disappears after failing to take a dive in a fight. Russell tracks down the imposing man responsible for the disappearance (Woody Harrelson) and comes armed with a rifle to bring his sibling home.

The film also stars Zoe Saldana as Bale’s love interest, Forest Whitaker, Sam Shepard and Willem Dafoe. The trailer features Pearl Jam’s “Release.” The band’s frontman, Eddie Vedder, also is slated to have an original song appear on the soundtrack.
Relativity Media is releasing the film in select theaters Nov. 27, with a wide release coming Dec. 6.
