For Givenchy’s spring 2016 campaign, creative director Riccardo Tisci is trading in the luxury label’s dark and moody looks for a bright and affectionate vibe.
The campaign stars 27 models, including catwalk veterans Miranda Kerr, Lara Stone, Candice Swanepoel, Natalia Vodianova and Joan Smalls, as well as rising runway stars Lexi Boling, Imaan Hammam, Greta Varlese and Lineisy Montero. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the cast was shot in lower Manhattan, where Tisci presented the spring 2016 collection in New York in September.

The ads are accompanied by a short poem, written by Anohni (otherwise known as Antony Hegarty of the band Antony and the Johnsons), that reads: “I am a child on the river, and love waits downstream: a waterfall to steal my breath and change my mind.”
Tisci hopes his latest ads will help spread a sense of love and hope.
“Everyone can do something very small, some gesture of love,” he told WWD. “I’m not saying this will change the world, but the world will be better. I’m a big believer in positive energy, and I’m sure this energy will spread.”
