Glenn Beck: Who Should Replace Me

After Glenn Beck announced he’s leaving his Fox News show Wednesday, he appeared on Andrew Napolitano’s Fox Business program.

Speaking to his critics, Beck said, “I am so tempted to say this to all those who say ‘celebrate’: You are going to pray for the days of 5 p.m. Look out.”

Beck then told Napolitano he thinks he should take over his 5 p.m. time slot when talking about “Bretton Woods III,” which he claimed was a shady economic gathering hosted by George Soros that is receiving little attention.

Napolitano asked, “What can be done to alert people?”

Replied Beck: “Make you the replacement for me at 5 p.m. I love you. You have taught me much and I have learned a lot.”

He also addressed his departure on his own show Wednesday.

“When I took this job I didn’t take it because it was going to be a career for me,” Beck explained to his audience. “Paul Revere did not get up on the horse and say, ‘I’m going to do this for the rest of my life.’ He didn’t do it. He got off his horse at some point and fought in the revolution, and then he went back to silver-smithing.”

Beck’s ratings have been steadily declining.
