Ruth Wilson took home the Golden Globe Award for best actress in a TV Series, drama, for her performance in The Affair on Sunday night.
The actress was nominated alongside How to Get Away With Murder‘s Viola Davis, Homeland‘s Claire Danes, The Good Wife‘s Julianna Margulies and House of Cards‘ Robin Wright.

This is Wilson’s second Golden Globe nomination and first win. The actress was nominated in 2008 for best performance by an actress in a miniseries or TV movie for Jane Eyre.
Wilson addressed her co-star, Dominic West, in her acceptance speech on his best actor nom and loss: “To Dom, your loss is something of great beauty. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.”
The Affair, which also won the Globe for best drama series, will air its second season in fall 2015.
