Taylor Schilling is a long way from orange jumpsuits, combat boots and shower caddies tonight, particularly in that crimson-colored Ralph Lauren gown and very complimentary makeup.
Her overall look is undoubtedly stunning, but it’s her strong brows and bright red-orange lip that feel like a (welcome and beautiful) departure from her usually more toned-down beauty choices.

“To me, Taylor has always had that Grace feel,” says Schilling’s longtime makeup artist, Tina Turnbow. “We wanted to create a makeup look that was a fresh and modern take on Grace Kelly.”
To achieve the look, Turnbow first applied Kate Somerville’s ‘Age Arrest’ mask, because the actress jumped off her flight from New York and straight into the makeup chair and needed some hydration infused into her skin.
Then, using all NARS cosmetics, Turnbow applied the brand’s new All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Deauville, followed by Fervor and Craving Dual-Intensity Blush.
For those dark, defined eyebrows, Turnbow employed NARS Brow Gel and Brow Perfector.
“The look frames her eyes so beautifully,” says Turnbow, “and gives balance to the face.”

She kept the eyelids very clean, eschewing eye shadow or heavy liner.
Turnbow did, however, put a lot of focus on the lips, using Red Square lipstick and a coat of the orange-hued Timanfaya Satin Lip Pencil over the red color.
“We wanted a lip color that contrasted her red dress, not something that matched exactly,” says Turnbow.
Hence the addition of orange. Better that than on a jumpsuit.
