Golden age of TV? Try golden age of streaming. That was the unmistakable message Dec. 10 when the Golden Globe nominations were announced. For the first time, streaming pioneer Netflix led the TV race with eight noms, dethroning longtime champ HBO. All told, streamers — including awards newcomer Hulu — made up a quarter of the TV noms, putting them neck and neck with the broadcast networks in their best Globe showing yet. Says Hulu CEO Mike Hopkins, “Having one of our shows recognized hopefully sends a signal that we mean business.”
