Hermes has found its new artistic director: French designer Nadege Vanhee-Cybulski, who has previously designed at The Row and Celine.
Vanhee-Cybulski succeeds Christophe Lemaire, who announced Monday his exit from the French fashion house after four years to focus on his own fashion label. Lemaire served as Lacoste creative director before succeeding Jean Paul Gaultier at Hermes in 2010.

Vanhee-Cybulski previously worked with Phoebe Philo at Celine as a senior designer, and with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen at The Row as women’s design director.
“Her talent and her creative track record will be great assets in the continued development of women’s ready-to-wear. She will devote herself full-time to our house,” Axel Dumas, CEO of Hermes, said in a statement.
While those outside of the industry probably have never heard of Nadege Vanhee-Cybulski, we have a feeling we’ll be learning a lot more about her when she debuts her first collection in March. We can’t wait.
