At Hermès, even leftovers are worth something. Of course these aren’t typical leftovers. Racked reports via Purseblog that the French fashion house known for the iconic and elusive Birkin bags has started selling a monthly mystery box filled with pieces created in Hermès’ Petit h lab, which uses leftover materials from the main line to create luxe one-offs.

There are two virtual grab-bag mystery boxes available: one for $245, which is for men or women, and another for $1,875 that is supposedly suited for women. The secret contents of both change each month.
Apparently past purchasers have discovered leather luggage tags, animal-shaped leather bag charms, silk totes and uniquely shaped scarves. Making it even more appealing is the fact Hermès will accept returns and issue full refunds if the customer isn’t into the box’s contents. So if you have $1,875, go for it — there’s nothing to lose, only exclusive French goods to gain.
